Let’s compare them.

Design

Samsung Galaxy Alpha
iPhone 6 with a metal and glass build it was always going to look premium. But for the first time Samsung build a phone using actual metal frame. You can see the difference just by looking at it. Galaxy Alpha is the most premium and stylish looking smartphone of Samsung and it's also very lightweight at just 115g, which makes it significantly lighter than the Apple's iPhone 6 129 grams.

Still Samsung Galaxy Alpha doesn’t look as good as the iPhone 6, because it still has a plastic back.

Features

Android phones have included NFC and contactless payment solutions for a long time, at last Apple included it in iPhone 6 as its main new feature. Apple Pay which uses NFC.

The iPhone 6 has the motion co-processor which tracks your activity without killing your battery and Touch ID, which lets you unlock your phone and approve purchases with your fingerprint.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha’s two biggest features are heart rate monitor and its fingerprint scanner. You can use your fingerprint as your password for unlocking your phone and for making purchases.

Screen

iPhone 6’s biggest change from its predecessor iPhone 5s is its screen size has gone from 4.0 inches to 4.7 inches, which is the same size as the Samsung Galaxy Alpha.

The actual display quality is pretty impressive at 750 x 1334. But it has a pixel density which falls short of most Android rivals. So it has a less sharp display than most of its Android rivals.
But the Samsung Galaxy Alpha’s has a 4.7 inch 720 x 1280 Super AMOLED display. So it’s only 720p rather than full HD. it’s actually not bad at all, but iPhone 6 has a better display than Samsung Galaxy Alpha.

iPhone 6 has one of the best phone displays with a minor drawback in resolution.

Camera

It is a little bit disappointed that Apple iPhone 6 only has an 8 megapixel camera; The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a 12 megapixel camera.

iPhone 6’s video camera can shoot in 1080p at 60fps or 720p in slow-motion at 240fps. There’s video stabilisation to keep shots steady, continuous autofocus and you can even shoot time-lapse videos.

Meanwhile the FaceTime HD camera can capture up to 81% more light than previously and features a new burst mode which can take 10 photos per second, making it better than ever for both selfies and video calls.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha can shoot videos in 2160p footage at 30fps and 1080p footage at 60fps.

Battery life, memory and connectivity

Apple claimed that iPhone 6’s battery can last for up to 14 hours of talk time, 10 days of standby time, 11 hours of internet use or 11 hours of video. It is still not a match for the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S5. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has an 1860 mAh battery. You can Expect average to just above average performance.

The iPhone 6 comes with a choice of 16, 64 or 128GB of storage. There’s no microSD card slot in both phones unlike other Samsung phones. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has only 32GB model.
For connectivity in both phones you get Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE and NFC.
