Features and specifications
The Panasonic P81 is powered with 1.7 GHz, Mediatek MT6592 octa-core processor which is claimed as the world's first 'true octa-core' mobile processor. It is also powered with a Mali-450 GPU for graphics.

Panasonic P81 has only 1GB of RAM, but its most competitors have 2 GB. This is a plittle bit disappointing. P81 is loaded with 8GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB using a micro-SD card.

Software
Panasonic P81 has introduced the new Play Life UI on top of the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, which offers series of Multi Play features such as Dual Play that lets the user stack up two app windows next to each other. P81 is packed with too many apps in it, most of it is pointless. Fortunately, we could uninstall these apps. Panasonic P81 has a new feature called 'Gesture Play' that lets its users to draw a gesture on the lockscreen to perform a function. We think it is not useful in real life.

Camera
The P81 has a 13 megapixel autofocus camera and an LED flash in its rear and it can capture 1080p videos. There is also a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Its camera takes good photographs in regular daylight conditions. But low light performance is not so good.

Display
It has a 5.5" IPS HD 720 x 1280 pixels display. On close inspection, the icons look blurred but it has a satisfactory display quality with a good Sunlight legibility.

Performance
We could play high graphic game like modern combat on P81 without any lag. It has a good CPU and GPU.
The P81's has a 2,500mAh battery. It should last a day with moderate usage for most people.

Verdict
Its main drawback is its software. However, it has a decent performance in all other areas. It has a bigger screen and better gaming performance compared to its main competitor.
